What’s the schedule? Anything we want it to be!
Primarily we will spend time gazing and sharing and revving up the engine of transmission, having discussions, taking hikes along the countryside, enjoying physical activity, and just plain hanging out and celebrating summer together. In the evenings, we’ll gather by the campfire, make music, sing joyfully, and dance ecstatically.
We’ll create an eclectic menu of other activities around our two workshops (see below) based on the group’s collective interests and talents. Tell us about yours when you register for the Celebration. Here’s a general overview of the schedule.
Friday, July 15th
- daytime – sittings, discussions, demonstrations
- evening – singing around the campfire
Saturday, July 16th
- daytime – 10 am – 3 pm – Saniel and Linda’s workshop, “Loving the Land: The Gift of Sanctuary.” Find out more and register for the workshop. We will have other options for anyone who does not attend the workshop.
- evening – 2-hour concert, with Geoff and Leslie Oelsner performing original songs, and some singalongs and covers during the first hour. The second hour will be totally devoted to your creations. Please bring poems, songs, stories, artwork, short rituals, readings, and dances which in some way relate to the themes of communion with Nature, appreciation of natural beauty, and cherishment of the Earth. Such contributions should be up to 5 minutes in length, and we will try to include as many as we can within the second hour on this Concert for the Earth. You may bring creative work of your own, or the work of others that you find inspiring to share.
Sunday, July 17th
- daytime – 10 am – noon – Geoff and Leslie Oelsner workshop, “Sacred Exchanges with Nature.” Free! We will have other options for anyone who does not attend the workshop. Afternoon sittings, discussions, demonstrations until 3 pm.
- evening – We assume most people will be heading back home, but for those of who remain — we’ll find something fun to do!
We’ll post the more detailed, final schedule two weeks before the event.
Check in – Come to Amy’s place anytime starting Thursday afternoon, July 14th for check in. At that time you’ll get your registration information and sign the consent form (if you haven’t already done so). Please note that no meals will be provided the 14th.
Check out – Anytime you want! Just let us know beforehand when you think you’ll be leaving.
